hello can any body help i have just bought a 2.4 td surf on a m plate with
49,000 miles on the person i bought it of said the head gasket had blown
he told me he took it to be moted and steam and water came out from under the bonnet he said it came from around the water pump so i took a gamble payed him £800 for it and bought a water pump i got it home and started it up and i am now getting white smoke out the exhaust and header tank is bubbling up and i can smell burnt diesel when i take the rad cap of that makes me think it is the head is cracked i am not to bothered as i did not pay a lot for the car anyway
can anyone tell me where the cheapest place to get a new head put on i live in dorset or can anyone tell me that it is not the head and is something else
