Hi I am sure I posted this thread earlier but maybe I didn't press submit
OK my smurf passed MOT with flying colors, but they gave me a warning my front brake shoes were wearing down .. does anyone know the best place to order them on line? my truck is a 2.4 TD hilux surf 1990... and I have changed brake shoes before on lots of cars in the past some were hell , will my old smurf give me a hard time? or is it fairly simple? what are the pitfalls apart from a bad back? I am pressing submit NOW ...regards shiny

    You mean brake pads!

You can get them from halfords or any motor factors.
T'is an easy job to replace, no fluid bleeding needed.

I saw your thread earlier this afternoon but I couldn't reply as you had posted it in the FAQ section which is not for posting. Looks like it must have got deleted.

Anyway, Vince has answered your question for you now.

If you feel BRACK pads will work as well as BRAKE pads go for it
