cam belt idler

hi all great site ... first post ...be gentle.

just orded cam belt and idler from main dealer for my 2.4 ssr-x
ordered belt no prob. £28 toyota parts man wanted to know witch pully / idler the smooth or toothed ??? i did`nt know there were two?
ordered the toothed £80 ish is that the right one to change [for peace of mind ] along with the belt . clocks on 70.000 +km
he wos trying to sell me both ? £160+....
no prob. getin parts for a `import`

Try your local bearing place for these.

Tensioner - Koyo 62TB0813B01
Idler - Koyo 54TM030B1 (this is the toothed one)

They are exactly the same as what is in the Toyota box and much cheaper. I got both for around A$95. That's about a quarter of what you were quoted.
