sorry to deviate slightly matt but would you know any reason why my air con fans would operate as and when they please even if air con is switched off? cheers
This may sound an obvious question, but is it actually the aircon fans kicking
in, or can you just hear *A* fan kicking in every so often?

i know what your saying mate its not the electric rad fan kicking in or the viscous one. no ive actually seen them spinning under my bash plate i really cant figure it out.its happened even with air con off! could it be a dodgy switch or maybe some moisture getting in a contact/ switch?
DONT RUN WIV BIG DOGS IF U CANT PI** UP TALL TREES
Thanks guys, once again the forum comes through with plenty of information much quicker and cheaper than takin it to a garage.
My viscous fan's just started sort of working again today but it now locked almost solid so i can sort of stop panicking about it. but i'm still gonna change it over to electric it's just gonna have to wait til next week as i got earlier finishes at work and more time to work on it, plus the friendly neighbourhood welder and auto electrics specialist is back from France and wants some practice before he changes his two landies to electric fans.

Must admit, I honestly couldn't say. Not sure how the aircon fans are
switched, so only thing I could suggest is just checking all wiring related
to the aircon.
