Does anyone know where to put the crank sensor?

I have got a 2.4 2L-TE engine,but some one who previously owned it has put a 2L Tblock on it,so it was coming up with fault code for crank sensor,but it has not got a crank sensor on,i have added the pictures and want to know if this is where the crank sensor goes and if these holes in the crank shaft are the pick ups for the crank sensor,also does any one have a crank sensor for sale?

The crank sensor is fitted into the block and as far as I know gets the signal from a protusion on number one conrod or the crank. I've never seen the setup so can't say exactly where it is or what it looks like. I doubt a 2L-T will have the right crank or conrod setup for it. The 2L-TE also need a coolant sensor which the 2L-Ts don't have
