Hi
I am having a problem with the wire light in the dashboard you know the one where you have to
wait for it to go out before you start, it is a signal that the plugs are hot enough to start.
its a intermittent problem and I am on the road at the moment towing a caravan
its a 1990 2.4 surf td.. and some days it seems to be worse than others, even when it is
warm and I leave the cab and return try to start up but no coil light appears and I have to keep turning the key
and it won't start till the coil light in dash comes on and then wait a bit and she fires up perfectly.
it may be tied up with the immobiliser? not sure but it always plays up in the most appropriate moment..
incidently I am towing a caravan, top box, tent 5 people, up and down dales and she is no problem
I had a new head from Tony about 8 months ago and have had been going great guns ever since
so I am blessed in some way...
ps Kids having nice time in van Tony (Basingstoke) thanks..
