  • Urgent Help needed with fuel cat

    Hi guys,
Fuel cat is in and only water pipes left to do tomorrow morning.
But the only thing worrying me is how to get fuel flowing in and out of the unit before all what is in the fuel filter is used and she dies
Any ideas, or will it be o.k just letting it tick over.
    Regards
    Kev.

Looks good. Nice job. As to priming, it's inline before the filter? If so,
just keep pumping away on the filter plunger to pull some more fuel
      through the system.

        Thanks for the help m8
I found it was dead easy just to dip one end in some diesel and "SUCK" on the other pipe worked a treat.

O.k. she is done cat fitted and no leaks.
Whilst i was under there i also did the turbo mod with the washers (turbo don't half whistle now and a deffo increase in power).
I also did a mod to the hood (got this idea of a boy racer at work) just involves packing it with some nuts to allow better air flow and helps to keep her cooler obviously not work well if stuck in traffic but non the less it's better than nothing.

About the same. Don't think the bonnet could take any more.

                  Mot???

is that an MOT fail though? as in protruding bits of body work??

and you've rather bu88ered up the testing for the 'cat! having changed the cat, the turbo and the lid, how we gonna know which mod is responsible for the changes - and if the cat has had ANY effect???

                  DOH!

Can't see how the fuel cat would change anything with emissions test and I’m sure i read some ware on here it also helps to lower summat.
Perhaps someone on here has had a MOT with a cat fitted and can let us know how it went.
As for the other mods, it only takes 5 mins to put it back for the re-test if necessary.
                    Regards
                    Kev.

None of the above mods will cause an MOT fail.

                        What's the turbo mod please?
                        I assume it's identical on a 3.0L?

It's the same turbo on the 3.0. I thought the 3.0 had enough power anyway.
