  • fuel and start up

hi, my surf has been using alot of fuel as of late, and i also have to wait a little bit longer than normal for the glow plugs to heat up, thus i have checked all my plugs but they are all ok and needed no more than a quick wipe, however upon removal of my turbo inlets i have noticed that there is some oil in around the pipes and even in the air filter, surely this isn't normal! i did let the desil run down to almost empty not long ago and i think this might have done something.

    cheers

It's o.k. thats normal. It's from the breather pipe on top of the rocker cover, it's just oil vapour that over time forms an oil residue in the inlet tubes. Just give them a clean out and re-fit.

Did you do a resistance check on them?
