water dripping off the block

ferrets truck has sprung a leak! theres er.. diesel dripping off(at a fair rate.) running past the earth clamp, passenger side. the whole side of the engine is wet, apart from round the thermostat housing. i cant see anything apart from that on that side with er... diesel in it... it only does it while the engine is running. could it be the fuel pump? any ideas? all the hoses are good, there's no pin holes i can find. is there anything behind the injector pump that could leak? its been find since the rebuild up till last week when this started. HELP!

could it be the hose that goes to the water pump or the water pump itself??

It's Diesel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apart from costing a fortune at the pumps, It appears that I'm now pouring it down the tarmack as I'm driving. I know the fuel guage isn't completely acurate, however it appeared to cost me 1/8th of a tank the other day to do 11 miles to work!!

It only pours out when the engine is running (apart from the residual stuff when first switched off)

Any ideas and assistance would be much appreciated

Milners sell a fuel pump seal kit. On mine, I had diesel pouring out aswell. A new top seal cured it. So far, at least!!

I would check the injector pipes first at both ends. If you're loosing fuel when the engine is running, then it sounds like the injector pipes as they are under pressure from the pump.
Then check the fuel lines around the fuel filter, then check the pump itself, could be the seals.

its definately diesel, cos the pool of it on the drive is still wet! get the kit in, bring it round....

we have replaced the seal on the top plate, but there is no seal in the kit for round the socket. guess where its leaking from.... shouldn't there be a seal for this in the kit from milners? we got 6 o rings we dont need, and missing the one we do need.. can any one confirm there is just the one seal on the bottom of the thread on the socket in the top plate? it doesn't look in bad nick, but fuel is hoofing out! (been very careful and got it lined up properly and not hooked up on the pin that lines it up...) help!

Nip down to B&Q/Focus/Wickes. They have plumbing sections, so should have
some O-rings.
