Hi all, thanks for the great tips and advice you gave me on my last post. I've stumbled accross a new problem over the last couple of days. When setting off, i'm experiencing loss of usual power but higher than usual revs, then when I get to 20 mph (every time) the revs drop to normal, power increases to normal but there's a heavy rattle for a few seconds (especially through the steering column) I don't know much, but I have checked my trasmission fluid and thats fine. This only happens from very slow speeds up to 20 mph, then from then on plain sailing. Any idea's ????

      is it an auto trannie!!

when you say you have checked the fluid did you do it while engine at running temp?? fluid may be ready for changing...theres a couple simple things to look at before thinking about failure!!!!

try looking at it again when engine is at running temp, with engine still running before you do anything else, it may not be trannie related but its a good place to start.....

Sounds like a autobox problem, does it feel like the box is slipping? letting the engine rev till it catches up.

Double check your AFT fluid level, and that its the right fluid. The rattle could indicate the torque converter has something wrong with it.
