  • knocking under my nearside wheels

    Hi all,
I've developed a louding knocking noise coming from what sounds like the front and rear, nearside wheels. It sounds like metal on metal and only occours when i go over bumps.
I have read a previous entry and it sounds like i just need to grease the affected area however i have no idea as to where abouts it should be applied. Do i need a grease gun or can it be done by hand. If anyone could help or even post idiot guide, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for the help,
    Si G

Do a search for bump stops. There is a diagram somewhere.

If its when you're going straight it's not the bump stops, but check theanti roll bars or maybe shock absorbers may even be the suspension travel stops.
If it aint broke dont fix it

That'll teach me to pay more attention to reading a question.
