Knocking problem

Hi all, am new to this forun, have just purchased a hilux surf 2.4 all was well when test drove, but took it out last nite and over bumps or hard right turn a knocking sound happens, sounds like it is under the front passenger seat, got this surf as a hobby and to build up some mecanichall knowledge as a hobby, any help appreciated, regards jamesb

sounds like the steering bump stops, just put loads of grease on all 4 of them (common problem mate)

Yip, mine does it, it went away when i greased them, but i have no nylon left on mine so the grease dont last long.

I've tried copper-ease and grease. Copper-ease seems to
last longer.

thanks for your replies, had a mate round over the weekend, thinks it the cv joint on the offside front .
