I read a while back that a guy was using the air conditioning unit to pump his tyres up. Does anyone know or have a rough idea how much psi the unit puts out?

Roger (Gamedawn) will be about sooner or later to let you know. I know he has a tank in the back of his Surf that is pressurised by the air con compressor.
I have taken my air con out but left the compressor and pipes in place until I get around to fitting a tank. I was considering using it, not only to power small air tools, but to pressurise a water tank for washing the brakes, lights and radiator when I have been playing in the mud. It's only a hobby!

The air con unit will run the tank up to about 110 - 120 psi with the engine on idle and more important it has quite a good delivery rate. I've got a 2.5 gal tank mounted under the back and it fills that in just over a minute - more than good enough for blowing tyres up (you could probably even run small air tools off it)Roger
