  • Help with number plate.

Hi all, can anyone help me please. I have recently purchased my 1st Surf (most impressed so far) I need to get a rear number plate fitted and it seems as though they are slightly smaller than the 'normal' size. Where can I get one made up. Halfords are less than helpful so I'm not sure where to go. Also when the wheels are turned onto a hard lock there is a certain amount of creaking and groaning going on almost as if something needs lubricating. Any ideas/pointers would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Try here:
    http://www.demonplates.com/

The noises are likely to be your suspension bump stops - quite common - the rubbers wear out. Can be replaced or greased up to temporarily sort the issues. Do some searches on "bump stops" and stuff and you should find some info.
    No longer a Surf owner.

      That would be steering stops.

I made mine smaller with an electric plane.

The steering stops are in the yellow circle, dollop some grease on these.

If you are in North Hamphire, Andersons Motor Factors in Tadley make the Japanese sizes on the premises.
