Hi guys....I'm just on the verge of buying my 1st Surf and was wondering whether any of you have ever bought a vehicle off Ebay? There's one I like the look of, had loads of work supposedly done to it, including new head, but wary about committing myself to one from the site. I suppose it would be wise to get the AA or RAC to do an inspection on it as its too far to go and see it? Any advice?

When I bought my surf 3 months later the head gasket went witch cracked the head took it back to the garage where I got it from and they repaired it. Because the head was cracked the warranty did not cover this but the garage went half's with me for a new 1 total bill to fix my car was £2500 I only paid £200. There are a lot of helpfull people on this web site who could sort you out if you get any problems, but remember to give the car a good once over or take some one with you who knows about surf's before you part with any money.
Hope this helps Steve. The wheels on my Surf go round and round
