  • slipping out of h

Hi to all, I have a 93 2.4 autobox Surf that sometimes comes out of gear.By that I mean that the small lever, normally in h will slip into nuetral. This seems to happen when decelerating, down hill,if you place your hand on the stick you can feel the stick move slightly when the throttle is pressed and released when on the move.Any help is greatfully accepted.
    PS millage is 129k Kilometers.

After posting this I set about investigating the problem after asking various people (thanks to you all) i came to the conclusion that it is rare for the transfer box to give trouble. So i decided to change the oil in the box, first remove bash plate, unscrew drain plug and catch oil, what oil? only an egg cup full came out.So filled to level plug with new oil and monitored for a week, no leaks.Next question where did the oil go? can it 'leak' internally? I will run the truck for another week then drain and measure the oil and refill again. But happilly for me it no longer drops out of H2

Check the oil level in the transfer box.
