  • help with fan motors

    My wife has a 4cyl petrol surf (not that this should make any difference) and the 2 low fan settings stopped working...we still have the 2 high ones though...really got me confused. are there seperate fuses somewhere or is there something else??? Please help

    The fan speeds work on resistors, full speed is 12V the other speeds step down throught resistors, if a resistor breaks, that speed stops working, they are all in the small unit that bolts into the fan houseing. You need to replace the whole thing, or if you know your electronics you can replace these resistors indivdually if you know their values.
