speedo cable

how do i know how my speedo is powered .. eg elec or driven...
my problem is that it takes a long time to drop between 40 /60
.what can be the cause of this ?
it has had a conversion speedo in for over 18mths ..
problem only just started
how do i get at the speedo . ??

how do i get at the back of the clocks ??

As your is a 'K' reg, it's most likely an electronic speedo head.
