  • vacume pipes

hi recentley purchased a surf 2.4 since i have had it the check engine light has been on and a fault 2 code comes up. the vacume pipes seemed a bit random compared to the diagram on here and for some reason the wiring running to the high and low pressure switches had been cut off!!!!. Have the wires back in place now but i,m a bit unsure about a couple of the pipe conections. the one marked red in the first picture runs over the engine into the pipe marked blue in the second.
the one marked blue in the first picture runs over to the air con idle up thingy.
it looks on the diagram that the pipe marked blue (which has a good strong suck on it) should go onto the metal pipe on the second pic but if i try to conect it the valve arrowed on pic 3 shuts and stops the engine.
hope someone can help this is making my headache.

          (its vacuum )

the engine end goes to pipe you labeled in your orginal pic 2, and the other end I think goes to solonoid like your pic 1 but at the other end to where you have it. I'll have to check on Shineys truck in the morning.

cheers Tony just to recap the rubber tube linked to the plastic pipe marked red in first pic runs to the pipe marked blue in the second, the other marked blue i can feel a strong vacum on runs to a thing on the side of the engine i think controls the air con idle up. i thought it looked the other way round on the diagram but when i try that the engine cuts out.
good news is i took a run up to the garage and the green turbo light came on for the first time since i have had my surf the red one did flick on a bit but i must have done something right today
with the amount of things that have been dissconected or cut off on this truck i would be completley lost without this site so thanks too all
