Fuel Heater Relay

Had a few problems cold starting my 1992 2.4 surf in recent weeks. A new set of glow plugs has helped but still not that good.

On opening the relay box under the bonnet I have discovered that there is no fuel heater relay present. Should there be one and if so where can I get one?

the fuel heater was only fitted with the winter pack, but the carrier for the relay is std. do you have a fuel heater?

I think the car is fitted with the winter pack (2 batteries and rear heater) How do I tell?

mines got the 2 batts, and rear heater but no fuel heater. one thing for certain with the extras on surfs, nothing is certain! i think the heater is built into the fuel filter so look for extra wires there(not just the wires that go to the water sensor in the bottom of the filter)
