Big Engine Probs

Seven Months ago i snapped the timing belt this subsequently Shaterd the over head cam bent seveal valves and generaley mest up my summer plans.
since then i have had the entire Engine rebuilt but i have one problem i have not being able to rectifie.
One starts the engine and it purrrrrs so sweetley and as soon as you stick your clogg on the pedel the revs go through the roof and the only way to stop the engine from blowing its self up is to disconect the power at sorce.
At present i am working my way through the sencers and relay switches but without any luck can anyone Help.

Is it a 2LTE engine or a 2LT. If it is a 2LTE then it could be the throttle position sensor, if not sounds like a fuel pump issue.
