    Guys
Whilst driving home tonight from work (12:15pm)
    Bl**dy freezing i might add.
I noticed my heater didn't seem to be kicking much heat out,
As my other cars have in the past.
Is this normal of a 2.4 surf, or could it poss be the thermostat on its way out It does get warm but not hot, even on full blower and full heat settings
    Any ideas ??????????
    kev.
    Regards
    Kev.

    nail... head...

change your stat matey, and check your heater control connection actually working the valve on your heater. if you got a rear heater check the temperature out of that

Did you have the airflow button pressed for 'incoming fresh air' or 'recirculating air'?
Mine wasn't getting very warm in the 'cockpit' tonight and noticed the button for fresh air was pressed (the furthest button on the right)
Pressed the button for 'recirculating air' (second from right) and 'cockpit' warmed up nicely.

Thanks guys I'll change the stat as soon as i can.
With regards to the rear heater there is hardly any heat from that at all.
Also i know a mate whoe flushed the system out via a hose pipe on his car, is this ok to do as i have never seen it done or heard about it till now.

Yup is ok and you will probably be amazed at the crud that comes out. There has been a few threads on this ..... I think there was one from Chillitt regarding a bleed valve making it easier..
