A bit of advise!

Hi All

Well.. Yet another problem on My truck!!

I think its the exhaust gone somewhere near the turbo... Heres what happened


Went up to blackpool on Sunday.. Got there fine, but driving around it started to sound a bit rough.. It sounds like the exhaust has come off.. if you know th sound i mean!

Had a look under the bonnet and just in front of the silver heatsheild of the turbo there is a lot of black soot

It got me home ok - About 1 hr drive and has run around all week ok.. its just a bit noisy... Also the Oil Pressure guage has started to get a bit higher.. it used to sit in the middle but now goes about 3 quaters of the way accross..

the van is also a bit sluggish.

I am guessing the exhaust has come off the back of the turbo?? if so how difficult is this likely to be to fix and is it a job i can do myself

Am i right on this???? I am fairly sure the Turbo is ok because i can hear it whistling with engine revs.. to be honest i'd never heard it before!

Any confirmation / other suggestions greatly appreciated!!

would expect the truck to be sluggish if your exhaust off by the turbo, can you feel any leaks from around there?? your front pipe my have rotted at the manifold.. perfect excuse for a full stainless system from powerflow!

Yep that sounds like it'll be it... Not had chance to look at it yet.. its always dark when i get home... that'll be Saturdays job!!
