Hi guys
Well I decided to use my old Surf while I look for a new shape one & typically it's decided not to play ball!
It overheats in about 6 miles - now it used to be ok but I've had a replacement pump fitted so they're bound to have removed the water hoses.
Initially I thought it could be the thermostat but cheaked that today & it hasn't got one! I'm obviuosly hoping it isn't the HG as it's already had a new head about 18 months ago.
Symptoms are it overheats & blows the water out - heater doesn't get hot & rad fan seems to be on very early, so it would seem to be an air lock??
I've done a search & found plenty of info about it but no instructions as to the procedure to best bleed the system.
Any help would be great thanx

have a look at the head while it is off for cracks - usually from 1 valve to the other AM I RIGHT?? you dont want to be fobbed off with a gasket if the head is suss - should you need a head get it from stevo - they should be willing to fit the modded head as it would be more reliable for you and less potencial probs for them!!
hanged every 4 K. Gentle drives and no tough work.
