9 oclock news on surf

got the surf back @ 8pm after 3 hrs over time by the yts.ers ATS they promised they get it goin by tonite ...and ..... that they ave.... 1/2 mile of smoke for about 10 mins then it all cleared like a sunny day turbo kick in nicely and whislin like a song bird......plus there more power than ever .... now for the down side....
theres sum sort of oil leakin near the turbo ..ne ideas ?
thers a grey plastic nipple that its drippin off very near the turbo...
he recons that it cost him 1000 £ for a new or £800 for a rebuild it ur self 1... he chosse the £1000 allready built one.

so my question is

what is the oil that is drippin and whats that grey nipple that its drippin from ?

B would be the complete turbo ?


C if this is rusted would it mean a rebuild ?

O.k. In the pic, the part you have ringed in green is the wastegate part, the turbo is the silver part next to it, all one unit basically.
Mine looks all rusty as well.
As for the grey plastic nipple? I've just had a look at mine and I can't see what you're on about!

p.s. new turbos are not £1000!

ive seen turbos for £400 is that more the price?..... buffin me up he was i could tell ...

the red A in the pic is where the leak is comin from n e how ... its a clearish oil ?

Yeah, turbos cost from £400-----£600.
Have you checked to see if the leak is coming from a loose nut or bolt?

the bit under the heat shield in the exhaust side (turbine)... the silver bit is the induction side (compressor)

the wastegate is kind of towards the bottom of the green ringed bit

trade discription act says that if you do not get your vehicle back in the same codition or better after you have had work down the company is liable for any other cost's ect,,,like they will have to pay to fix your truck now as it had been running fine when you had taken it in....take them to a small claims court if need be...good luck bro...
