  • please Help. Changing breaks

Hello. In the next few weeks I'm planing to change all the breaks on the surf. They still work OK, however they were worn when I got it about two years ago and I think it's time for a birthday.

I know milners are good for ordering from but I have just looked at their price list to see hundreads of break items.

What are the usual items to be ordered when servicing the breaks??

    Many thanks for your help

Pads and shoes, thats it, everything else is if there is a problem to fix or bits missing.

A word to the wise..... when changing brake pads/shoes, check the fluid level before compressing the pistons. If you compress the pistons with a full resevoir it will over flow EVERYWHERE, as I found out !!
Answer is, find a LONG length of clear pipe and suck some fluid out prior to starting the job and top up the levels after jobs completion..... and dont forget to pump the brake pedal before moving the vehicle..... more embaressment if you dont !
Who needs speed, People will always wait for me !
