  • Difficult starting when hot.

    Hi all.
When cold my truck starts instantly, engine barely turns over before she fires and is running. Just lately she seems to need a lot of cranking to get her to fire up when she is hot. This seems to be getting worse. Could it be a temperature sensor gone faulty ? Any ideas ?
    Many thanks

Normal is just a wash setting.

Yeah, my truck hisses when I unscrew the fuel cap, my Mondeo too!

Actually, it's more of a sigh on the Mondeo.

Yep. It hisses when I take off the fuel cap. It has done for the last three years. This is a recent problem.
Managed to get a look under the bonnet tonight, first chance I have had. Found a split in the air hose that goes across the top of the engine. Could this cause this problem ?. I have gaffer taped it for the moment until I can order a new one from Milners or Roughtrax. If this is the cause of the problem is it worth/necessary to disconnect batteries to re-set the ECU ?
          Thanks for replies.
