can anyone tell me what this is on the fuel pump? I have been told i may need to replace it. I was told it was the fuel stop solonoid. Any clues? Or anyone have one?

Not sure why Toyota don't have a part no. for this as it's a standard part on most diesel fuel pumps and even on older fixed jet petrol carburettors. My daughter's diesel fiesta had a problem with the solenoid sticking so not allowing the engine to stop, as it's the solenoid which blocks the flow of fuel to the injectors, thus allowing the engine to cease to fire.
Might just need to be removed, cleaned, tested and put back. I believe you can test them by putting a voltage across the contacts and earthing the body, which should make the rod/plunger/valve tap in the body move out to block the fuel inlet pipe. Carb cleaner should do the trick if it is just dirty.Mike G

Fuel stop solonoid
Just picked mine up today gonna fit 2moz (ECD SPILL CONTROL VALVE) OR Fuel Stop Solonoid as its normally called. You can buy these at Merlin Diesel Systems LTD 01772694130 ask for steve £88.13 inc vat.
These pics are of the Denso part number which was a pain in the arse to get hope this can help out.(www.merlindiesel.com)
