Engine Check Light

Please help
The engine check light comes on, the revs then raise and fall when it is in gear of its own accord.
It is not an air leak could it be the auto box if so how do i solve it?

I had all sorts of problems with my check light a lot of the info and links are in the thread Oh sh1t etc in the 3.0L section, if that doesn't help,
do a search on here
read all the info (lots of it)
download your fault codes
see if that helps
rectify if it does
shout on here if it does not
