rear window

ok i know ive looked at the search function and seen this asked before i can close my window with the ley but not open it and it works fine from inside the truck im guessing its a relay bust somewhere it was suggested that the key microswitch may be duff where is this lol and how do i change it ? Must admit found this site really really helpful thaanks very much for the advice chris

Ok thought it was just a switch in the key barrel that needs changing or was i mistaken

Check the continuity across the switch before deciding it is at fault . I thought my rear key switch was faulty but it was a corroded pair of wires where the tailgate hinges . Window worked fine by switch inside but would not go up or down by key switch . As yours does work one way I would suspect a broken wire first .

Yep,

I had up but not down. It was a corroded wire right under the edge of the little black plastic plate at the bottom edge of the gate. It's the thin green with red and the thin green with yellow on my 92 2.4
