new 2.4srrx auto problems

hi i just bought 2.4srrx auto and my turbo comes on at 2000 revs is this ok ,mpg is about 17 been told to turn turbo down ,but know nothing about cars,put redex in last week 1/4 of a bottle in full tank ,still smoking in morning and when accelerate any help would be lapped up im at my wits end ,thanks in advance guys

HI,It is normal for the turbo to come in at about 2000rpm as for the redex put a full bottle in about a quarter of a tank and give it a good drive with o/d off and ect on.

Tubo light comes on at 2000ish so your o.k.

17 mpg, thats normal for a newbie. you'll soon realise it's not a sports car and your right foot will lose weight!
It will belch some smoke on cold starts and a little on hard acceleration.
I chuck in half a bottle of redex at a time.

these will help reduce smoke.
also, check rubber bellows type hose coming from air filter housing to the black plstic tube on top of engine, is not split. (convoluted hose)see link above.
