if anyone is in need of new pads up front and are considering the job diy style
worry not a complete novice should be able to do the job themselves
it takes longer to jack the vehicle up and remove the wheel than it does to change the pads, i have never come across an easier vehicle to change the pads on, also while you have it up !!!!!! you may as well grease all nipples and bump and steering stops, don't forget to check bearing free play
pads are available off the shelf at most motor factors for about £26.00 retail
hope this is of some use to someone

        steering stops...

bump stops are the rubber things that stop the wishbones banging on the chassis

edit: um which you have greased!

should have put copper grase on the pins too so the pads move freely and they're not a bugger to get out again
