turbo bearings i think

just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this noise i have coming from the front almost sounds like behind the dash sounds like a wining noise when i put my foot down and the turbo kicks in i was thinking it might be the turbo bearings any ideas would be welcome

Is it a whistling sound? 'cos normally the turbos do that. However, if it's a loud whistling, the rubber hose coming from the air filter housing could have a split in it.

no its not the whistling i know that is normal. Its more like a metalic grating whining noise as the turbo kicks in. Its hard to tell were it is coming from i also thought it mybe the speedo cable spinning behind the dash because the speedo dosnt work but its electronic no cable
