I'm new here and was hoping to get some advise. I bought a 1993 2.4LTE recently and have already had the head go, just about 2 months after buying it. I had been told about this problem, but had been hoping that I could get away with watching temp level, fluids, etc... for at least a year or two. My question is what kind of luck people have had with the 3L engine as opposed to the 2.4? I am looking at the 3L because I have been told it is far less likely to have problems with the head. I also like the idea of getting away from EFI as there are very few places in Kenya that can work on these engines and they usually cost an arm and a leg. Is there a significant loss of power between the 3L and 2.4 with turbo?
