Only 7 Litres of coolant.

I changed my coolant the other day, but when I drained it I only had 7 litres of fluid, I toped it up with a hose run it for a bit then drained it again. Again I only had 7 letres of water.

I then filled it up with 4 litres of antifreez and 3 litres of water. and after checking the level after a few days it was O.K.

I know you won't empty all the fluid out because some sits in the bottom of the block and Radiator, but not 2 to 3 litres worth!

Why am I only getting 7 litres and not the normal 9 to 10 litres?

Do you have rear heaters, and were they set to hot when you emptied the coolant.

I know I put both of them on hot, but I can't remember if that was before or after I had drained the coolant?

Knowing me, as I do!!! Quite well!

I bet they were in the cold position!
