Hi Guys new to hilux just got a 1990 EFI turbo Diesel it ran Ok for a while then the rev count dropped to nearly zone but the engine revs didn’t, now then the rev counter is reading low the engine runs rough and sometimes there’s a loud Diesel knock I think it must be the engine speed sensor, but there are no fault code and I can’t find the sensor. Can anyone tell me what gives the RPM signal and if it’s a sensor where it is??????????
