  • Oxygen sensor

My Fault light is lit up on the dash board. I've done the paperclip check and it would seem that the oxygen sensor has a short somewhere.

Firstly: Which one is the oxygen sensor?? (there's so many!)
Secondly: How do I clear the fault light on the dash once I have traced the short?
Thirdly: Is this connected with the poor cold starting? Timer light stays on for about 3 seconds and I'm sure its not heating properly as it takes about 30 seconds to turn over and fire up - more if the ambient temperature is low

have you tried disconnecting your batteries for about half an hour then reconnecting them?
Maybe the ECU will reset it's self.

You don't have an O2 sensor!

Stop reading the Yanks fault codes.

Thats funny!! Because I thought an O2 sensor would be on the exhaust somewhere - hence my not finding it! I have tried unpluging the ECU to no effect. What should I be looking for then with a 2-8 code?????
