Having trouble starting.

I'm having trouble starting first thing in the morning, its just very reluctant to fire up and when she does she kicks out a big cloud of white smoke out the exhaust and the engine warning light comes on for a couple of minutes. The mornings down here aren't that cold at the moment. Its weird as a couple of miles up the road and she starts fine.

Any ideas what this could be??

Sounds like you could do with some new glow plugs.
Dunno about the engine light tho', do you engine 'check' light, or engine oil light.?

Thanks for that, its the engine check light in the middle of the speedo.
I've just bought some redex engine cleaner to see if that helps. If no joy i'll change the glow plugs.
