There is a long Ford near me about 75yrds long and I would love to run my surf through it, can anyone spell out the dangers, its about 18inches deep
at the moment and the base is shingle should i go for it?

The surf has it's air intake behind the passenger headlight, if you think the headlight is going to be getting wet forget it !

At that depth I would advise caution and do not apply a lead foot.

Generally its ok as long as you keep going, you will push out a bow wave once you stop its when the real troubles starts. I would have to say 18" is a puddle (see pic attached) as long as you dont suck in water through the air intake and all your door seals are OK then have fun.
Also take a look at the web site videos of off road days, Avon Dassett, Pingewood & Norfolk then see if you think you can do it.

Here's Timbersurf making waves at Avon Dassett. Have fun in your ford, 18" is just fine- take a camera though!

Great went to the ford and drove in and out for about 6 times.
