what is the price for the said shocks?
An original Surf adjustable from Toyota main stealer will set you back about £180 each. Good third party shocks start at around £30 each. It's a no-brainer if you need to replace them. One of my Toyota originals was broke- so I replaced all four with Pro Comp shocks. Sold the remaining 3 good Toyota ones for a tidy sum too!

pictures. the clicking noise that comes from the right hand side of the engine when I press the Hard soft switch is that a solonoide of some sort?
does it get stuck? or need maintenance

Theres about a million wires go to the HARD/NORM switch so I dont think there is a relay. What you are haring is the actuators themselves. You'll need a helper to walk around and listen to each corner in turn to see if they are all working.
