  • Clicky Steering

Seem to have developed a clicking sound when i turn the steering wheel, coming from underneath which disappears if i lift it up on jack stands. Thnking it could be the steering box. It is leaking slightly but nothing major. Any ideas gratefully recieved and a slap in the head to the first person who mentions steering stops.

Mine didnt click it just pushed oil out of the top seal. You can buy an additive which helps expand worn seals for power steering.

It's your turn indicator relay clicking.

Its the mating call of the japense stag beetle !!!! you must have one in the engine bay or behind the dash.

I reckon it may be on of the track rod ends breaking up. When you lift it on jacks then the steering drops down and they are at a different angle. Get someone to turn the steering lock to lock with the engine running and the surf on the ground, get underneath and see if you can locate the sound.

                Cheers
