Ok, here's one for you....
I have used my local Toyota garage to remove and inspect my leaky fuel injector pump. The pump has been sent to,and looked at, by a specialist who diagnoses leaky seals. No suprise there then.
Problem is, Toyota wont refit new seals as they say that the job of tinkering with the unit is that of the specialist, but he is quoting five hundred or so for the job!!!.
Aside from undoing the unit and replacing the seals, what other adjustments might need to be done once the thing is off the car, and/or refitted? I'm thinking of getting the pump back the refit the seals myself given Toyota's silly position, but don't want to end up with a long list of other adjustmens beyond my meagre abilities.
