serious help regarding breaking

I have just purchased a surf 2.4 auto. Yesterday I lost control whilst jently breaking on a bend, the front wheels locked in to a skid , I was not travelling fast. Since then I have tried the breaking and found the same responce on flat ground. Whats wronge? The tyres are new and it has just been serviced.

I would take the car to a brake specialist garage and get it looked. Sounds a bit dodgy to me. Have the rear proportional braking valve checked (just above the rear axle). This controls the amount of braking force applied to front and rear, according to the rear weight loading.
