I would reckon that it is probably the top seal on the fuel pump if that is the area that it is leaking from. The seal can be replaced - if you do a search for Diesel pump leak or something like that I am sure you will find something about it here, pretty sure there a quite a few posts about it. The seal will cost virtually nothing compared to the price of a new pump.

    Cheers

Maybe the pump body is slightly out of true - some silicone sealant should do the trick. Can't really think of anywhere else for it to leak diesel apart from the fuel shutoff valve or around the injector pipes.

You need to determine exactly where it is leaking. If still the top seal then maybe it was not done right. It could also be leaking between pump body and the section on back that has all the conections for fuel lines. This I believe is a job requiring removal and pump rebuild.
