red light on green light off

Hi Again
couple of new (to me) questions green light on (Turbo) all of sudden goes off red comes on for say 10 mins then goes off green light reappears, checked under engine only thing obvious is the hose from the air filter to the tubo is cream crackered would that account for this?
On another note whats the crack with rear seat belts mine ( G reg ) got a few lap belts but nowt else?
is there a manual over ride for the rear window should the motor fail?
Whats the second button for when closing the sun roof?
Also lost a drivers front side mud flap (not wide body) will the UK hilux fit?
Went to the automatic car wash in llandudno near Halfords after getting stuck on Mona car boot and he asked if I had been before and if not I could not go in, has anyone been through one of the ABC car washes and not had there roof ripped off?

Red light is engine check light, search on here for the codes, you can do the diagnostics yourself

Early Surfs had lap belts, you can change for 3 point, again search on here its been done. Or do you mean there nothing for them to go into, check down the back/under of the rear seats

slide open & close/tilt

It will fit but its not the same, try Milners or roughtrax

can i ask a question

my trubo light comes on when im doing about 2200 or so revs which im fine with although i can here the whisel like some police car in the distance but the check engin light comes on when im doing about 125kmp but its not red its more yellow or orange iv only got two lights on board gren trubo and this othe rone with the engin shape help i wish id never bought it

On the Standard Surf electric glass sunroof, the second button is a safety button. You should need to press it so that the sunroof close works. It should stop the sunroof closing without pressing it too. Stops kids sticking their heads out and closing the sunroof on them.

sounds like a code 12 mine did similar green then orange then green i bet its the timing control valve on the injector pump is on its way out or has gone already or try changing your fuel filter if its clogged it to can produce a code 12 if i was you i would pull off the connector from the timer control valve and test the resitance 10-14 ohms at 20 degrees C if it isnt within tollerences also check with voltage across terminals and listen for a click no more than 30 seconds or you will stuff it up if 1 or both of these bin it and get a new one fitted if its ok change fuel filter if that dont work check timing belt /timing
also another symtom is a loud diesel knock and maybe some black smoke / more than usual.

If you have any breaks/cracks turbo side of the air filter I'd change the pipes or at least do a temp repair with gaffa tape. There is an air temperature sensor by the air filter which might be bypassed. It might be fooling the ECU into thinking it's Summer!
