Hi All
Please be gentle, I know nothing about engines so here goes....
Very recently, the engine of my truck overheated, it went to the garage and had the following work completed:-
Supply and fit new cylinder head casting
De-coke valves
Re-cut valves
Lapping all valves
Re-shim cylinder head
Rebuild new valve stem seals
Replace head back to vehicle
New head st, new head gasket and new head bolts
New leak off pipe New turbo to exhaust manifold gasket
Supply and fit new water pump, new water pump belt
Supply and fit new thermostat
Supply and fit new cam belt kit
New oil and filter
Fit new radiator
New anti-freeze
When I got the car back - it was lumpy starting up and was smoking a lot - white smoke. Contacted the garage and took the truck back in and the following works were completed: -
Remove all 4 x injectors
Recondition 4 x injectors
Remove and refit new turbo
Supply and fit new manifold gasket
The car was still difficult to start from cold and there is white smoke - after a few minutes it runs ok.
Again, back to the garage and all 4 glow plugs were replaced with new ones - the car is still difficult to start and is smoking on start-up.
The link of the car trying to start is here: - https://photos.app.goo.gl/mvTCK5pMi8GqgSgu5
Obviously, as you can see I have spent a big chunk and the truck still isn't right - any suggestions as to what it could be or what to go back to the garage with? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
