3.0L Diesel Turbo 95 Surf Low MPG?

Hey All,

I recently bought a 95 Hilux surf imported from Japan to America, I always hear that people are getting around 30 MPG with the diesel, but I'm only getting around 18 mpg. Can anyone help me out? Why might I be getting low mileage and what can I do to fix it.

Hello I get 18mpg around town and got 28 mpg on a run up to Scotland, free wheeling hubs on mine definitely make a difference and refurbished injectors
