Hi everyone, new hear so my apologies in advance.
I've been negotiating with a seller to purchase his 2LT LN130 Toyota Surf.
It needs a new primer pump and I had a mechanic have a look and she says it also needs an engine overhaul since the owner hasn't serviced it recently.
There's is a little clicking sound coming from the engine at the end of a rev and the owner said a glow plug broke off inside and the last guys who worked on it didn't remove the fragments.
My father had a LN166 Hilux and a this same LN130 so my reason for wanting to get this one is sentimental, as a way to remember my father. I learnt how to drive on these vehicles too.
My question is if this would be a good idea for a build project and if its worth it.
Any advice would also be helpful. thanks.
