they are competing to make a machine that will destroy a garden shed.
why would they do that? why?
lets face it mate, it was a **** shed - the machines weren't that good either and 2 wives 4 kids in tears, where do these TV companies get their ideas from?
However if they want something destroying I reccon a team from this forum would be nigh on unbeatable
Its sad isnt it. There really is no hope for makind if thats the kind of think we want to put our alleged ingenuity into, and what kind of man is it who needs a machine to destroy a garden shed. Even the best ones are hardly fortified bunkers and can be pretty easily destoyed by the average 5 year old with a toy hammer, or by a wife who thinks its a place for everything that she decides is not wanted or required in the house. Maybe that doesnt destroy the actual fabric of the shed but it destroys the concept, the aesthetics. And now some loser wants to create a machine to do it too. same guys would probably happily stick a coat of magnolia emulsion on the cistine chapel ceiling.
Damn them all
chin up old mate...the roof was only chipboard, the T&G was paper thin and it had 2 doors - it was a yuppy lawn mower storage facillity....not a proper shed, nobody had cleaned a paint brush on the back of the door, no nails to hang things on, no paint tins, tools, hobby bits,
it was a non shed
shedless
without shed cred
as an expert I thought you would have realised - but we can understand - heat of the moment - reading it in TV times - hearing the anouncer - it all got a bit much
blow your nose, dry your eyes, have a brew, and in the morning look outside to your beloved and things will seem different
even a tofu made for tv shed would have been some where to sit out of the rain, if not for them vandals and their heath robinson butchery.. wanders off muttering about licence fees....

I have done some research into this program.
The shed in question was a stunt shed, whilst filming, the camera goes off the main shed and it is then replaced with its body double.
The actuall shed is around the back, being used to store the deck chairs in, and used by one of the crew for a crafty smoke.
The body double is made from rice paper and double sided sticky tape.
Now filming has finnished, the shed has retired from active carrier and is spending the rest of its days in the back garden of the producers house.
It has had a new coat of paint and is treated well.
It also has its own plant pot.
