  • possible snow in NE scotland over next couple days

forecasts suggesting poss snow in NE scotland, and as I live in Aberdeenshire, hoping we get some, so at the very least i can get out on the skis!, maybe just ski touring in the mountains, as wont be enough for ski centres,
and secondly, want to see how the 4runner gets on in the snow!. There is nothing more satisfying in winters up here than driving a 4x4 passed people stuck and towing them out!,
so fingers crossed for a healthy dump of the white stuff!

I think the snow's going to hit you first in Aberdeen before it arrives down here in Fife. Now where did I put me woolly knickers?

Don`t think the snow will come as far south as Fife. Although Sunday look like snow followed by rain perhaps

I can`t wait for a serious dump of snow so I can fly round the hill where i work with my Surf

Hope you got your pilot's licence! We had a serious dump of snow a few years back in Fife. The Landy gave up the ghost and couldn't go any further and I had to walk over 2 miles in waist deep snow to get to the sheep. By the time I got there they had huddled in the corner of a field and been buried by the snow. Some of them were six feet down and I had to use a long pole in the snow to find them. I spent all day in a blizzard digging them out. Maybe slightly less snow this time would be nice. Do you work outside Perth somewhere?

Work at Murrayshall Golf Club, on the hill above Scone (the one with the monument)

We always get one good lot of snow up there, last year was not too bad, but previous years we have not been able to get into our bothy because of snow drifts, the worst was about 8ft high.

I bought my Surf in Fife last month, where about are you ?

Kircaldy, of all places. The last owner was from Prestonpans (rich git

I went to college in Cupar, some years ago. I also buy tripocal fish in Cupar quite often as well (Was there Saturday past). Its an absolute hole of a place

My boss lives in Fruchie as well, he travels across the hill everyday in his Vauxhall Brava pick-up, if you see him, try to run him off the road for the good of mankind

It's a small world. One of my boys is at Elmwood doing horticulture just now. One was there two years ago doing gamekeeping. One goes regularly to the tropical fish place in Cupar (Ultimate Aquatics and the Garden Centre). I'll keep a lookout for your wagon when I'm out and about. As for your boss - he's deadmeat!

Nice to see some chat from our more northern people, i've only seen 1/2 dozen or so surfs/4runners up in Aberdeen area. Anyone hail from this area?

dusting of snow on Bennachie this morning, and few flakes in gardenn,

                        but cairngorm has more:

                        and more!

but nowt in my back garden...

I did Greenkeeping at Elmwood for 5 years, on and off. Last time I was there was 2002. One of the guys who works with me got his Horti HND at Elmwood and worked at Glendoig Garden center. Ultimate Aquatics is a brilliant place, easily the best place for tropical fish around here.

If you fancy running my bosses Brava off the road, you`ll see it in Fruchie this week as he is on holiday. He is a right pain in the arse, a greenkeeper thats one exam away from being a qualified paralegal, now theres a dangerious combination
